Banbridge CC once again excelled at the irish cx champs,the event hosted by phoenix cc and held at lady dixon park,belfast was a credit to phoenix cc and was well supported by all of the local cycling fans,banbridge cc turned up in large numbers hoping to see our own reining champion roger aiken win another irish title and he did not disappoint as on the day he was in a class of his own winning by just under 2 minutes from fierce rival robin seymour,along with all the supporters roger had a top class back up team in the pits with liam mckiverigan and rogers father wilbur on power washing duties and nicola oldham making sure roger had a spare bike ready when needed,also on the day banbridge cc had cameron mcintyre winning the u16 support race and shenna mckiverigan winning the ladies u16 version,in the junior race james curry came home in a superb 2nd place to take the silver medal,also competing for the club on the day were willy mulligan,don travers,ian cochrane,dan purdy and stevie prentice.on what was a very wet afternoon it was great to see so many banbridge cc jerseys all around the circuit.full results below
