Banbridge CC’s MTB riders have produced more super results at the British Cycling MTB Cross Country Series, held today in Cannock Chase Staffordshire. James Curry finished an excellent 4th, only 49s off the winner in the Junior race while Gareth McKee was 8th place in the Elite event which was won by multiple British and Commonwealth Champion Liam Killeen.
John Buller had a difficult start beginning in 50th place on the grid but had a super ride to finish in 13th.
All 3 were looking resplendent in their Irish National Champion’s jerseys – great to see among the cream of British Cycling and in the thick of the action
Gareth & James now gear up for the World Championships in in 2 week’s time in Andorra where they will compete against the world’s elite. They will be joined by Banbride CC’s Simon Curry who will manage them during the trip.
