Banbridge Cycling Club will be holding a coaching night for club members next Tuesday night; the presentation will focus on ‘Training principles & winter preparation’ and be presented by a top class line up of ex-international riders and coaches, all of whom have originated from and competed for Banbridge CC;
Tommy Evans has won almost all of the major races in Ireland, including the Ras, and competed abroad professionally before beginning a successful coaching career where he has led the national team to the Olympic Games and gone on to become an internationally renowned coach with riders competing at the very highest level – including Grand Tour stage winners.
Neil Teggart, currently the club coach, has represented Ireland on multiple occasions as well as Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games.
Sean Downey, who has just recently retired from international level cycling as part of the An Post Chain Reaction team and has also achieved great success on both the road and track, where he was been National Champion and a Commonwealth Games medalist.
This is a great opportunity for members to come along and avail of the vast level of knowledge and experience we have within our club. For those with competitive aspirations this is a night that you simply cannot miss!
