There was a superb win today for Banbridge CC rider Brian Hannon he secured 1st place in the Masters Race at the George Rooney Phoenix Grand Prix . Brian said ‘ It was a tough finish but I enjoyed it immensely ‘. Brian had a great race and has got the season of to a great start .

Brian  was glad to have the support of other Banbridge CC riders who were also racing at the Phoenix Grand Prix, Marty Fitzpatrick and Mark Kendall finished in the bunch in the A3 race. They got caught up in a crash on the final run but thankfully managed to avoid it.  Peter McBride also rode well and finished in the bunch in the A4 race.

Overall a great weekend for Banbridge Cycling Club with  John Buller securing 1st place in the A3 race and 7th overall at the Travers Engineering Grand Prix at Annaclone on Saturday and Brian Hannon 1st place in the Masters Race at Phoenix Grand Prix on Sunday.
