Banbridge CC will host their 2017 Charity Leisure Tour in support of Brest Cancer Awareness & Action Cancer as part of the Paint the Town Pink campaign on Sunday 1st October.
Two routes will be on offer to accommodate all levels of cyclist, both starting in Havlock Park, Banbridge, before taking in the beautiful views of South Down and the Mourne Mountains. A coffee stop offering some light refreshment will be hosted in Rathfriland Community Centre after passing through Gilford, Tandragee, Scarva, Poyntzpass & Loughbrickland.
Those on the shorter route will travel back to Banbridge via Ballyroney and Katesbridge. Those tackling the longer route will continue on to Kilkoo from Rathfiland and turn at Bryansford and make their way home via the Lacken Rd and Ballyroney where they will once again join up with the shorter route to share the last few miles.
All riders will be welcomed back to Havlock Park where hot food and refreshments will be available in Banbridge Hockey Club
Pre-registration for the event is now open via Cycling Ireland’s new entry system on EventMaster here at a cost of £15 per entry and is open to everyone. Those who do not currently have a Cycling Ireland licence will be required to purchase an event licence at a cost of £5.
Pre-registration is available until midnight Thursday 28th September. On the day entries will also be accepted at the slightly higher cost of £20. A free goody bag will be available for the first 100 entries received.
All participants will be required to sign-on on the morning of the event between 8am & 9am in Banbridge Hockey Club before rolling out at 9:30am.
