Women on Wheels is a Cycling Ulster initiative to encourage more women to get on their bikes by providing a friendly and fun training programme. It follows Cycling Irelands Bike for Life programme that’s designed to assist riders who want to develop their knowledge, skill and fitness on a bike.

Ruth McKee and Ruth McKee Senior are running the 8 week program in the Banbridge area. The programme will provide participants with the option to complete a 40 or 80 mile sportive on the 3rd August. All women 18 and over are welcome. Any type of bike is suitable but it must be road worthy and everyone must wear a cycling helmet. The program will commence on the 13th May leaving Scarva tea rooms at 6:30pm sharp.

Full details are available by following the link http://cu-womenonwheels.co.uk/

Please spread the word so we can get as many Women out as possible. The ride leaders will be using the cycling cameras recently presented by ABC council, local policing and Community Safety Partnership team. This is a fantastic initiative and we would like to thank both Ruth’s  for volunteering their time and experience.
