Ryan McBride headed to the youth Festival on Saturday hosted by Cycling Ulster at the Eikon Center.
The first up was a TT which Ryan secured 3rd fastest time in. Next was the crit event, following in his dad’s footsteps, he used a bit of race craft in gaining momentum over the rider in 2nd place using his slipstream and getting a good sprint to claim 2nd. The elimination race was last and he took 3rd, giving him a third overall for the day. Matthew McAlister also raced on Saturday doing really well finishing just outside the top ten.
On Sunday Ryan travelled to the Nationals which Ryan hasn’t raced all year, so he just went out to have fun. He was off from the whistle working his way from the back of the grid to claim a well deserved 2nd place.
Ryan has went from having a bad injury earlier in the year to completing with the best. Top marks Ryan and Matthew. Keep up the great work and as always, keep loving it!
