Island Wheelers organised the Ulster Championship race back in September 2020 and Ryan went as the underdog never having raced in a road race before. Early on in the race he drifted off the back having it all to do to get back into contention. He worked hard with another rider from Foyle CC to reduce the gap and put in a strong solo effort to rejoin the main group. With 300 meters to go he unleashed his explosive sprint and to win the race. The Banbridge CC and Endenderry pupil is seen here receiving his Ulster Championship Medal from Club Secretary Mark Kendall as the awards night had been cancelled due to covid restrictions.

Ryan has continued his dedication and love for cycling and has had great success indoors over the winter months in the TUZ Zwift League. We look forward to his future achievements. Well done Ryan.
