On Sunday 25th September Banbridge CC will once again promote the popular Thomas White Memorial Time Trial.  As in previous years the event will play host to the final round of the Cycling Ireland Paracycling National Series.

New for 2022, we are thrilled to announce a new sponsor for the event; Leckey.  The local Lisburn-based company is a globally recognised pioneer in the research, design and manufacture of solutions to deliver postural care for children with special needs.  Together with their parent company, Sunrise Medical, which has “Team Sunrise” – the largest and most renowned athlete ambassadors in the assistive mobility industry, there are already strong links to the para-cycling community. This new sponsorship further demonstrates their commitment to improving people’s lives and contribution to the communities.

On the announcement of the sponsorship, Event Director, Aaron Wallace, says;

“I’m delighted to welcome Leckey on board as an event sponsor.  It has been exciting and hugely rewarding to see the Thomas White Memorial evolve with the inclusion of the Paracyling National League. Having a company such as Leckey join us in the progress of the event will help us elevate it even further.  The partnership is a great fit for the event which has seen National, European and World Paracycling Champions compete on our local roads.”

Leckey Clinical and Marketing Director, Dr Laura Finney, added;

“We are very proud this year to be supporting Banbridge Cycling Club, at their annual Thomas White Memorial time trial. At Leckey we aim to improve the quality of life of children and young people with additional needs, so supporting an event which promotes inclusion of paracycling is very important to everyone at Leckey.

Leckey as part of the Sunrise Medical group, has been supporting competitive paracycling, with specially adapted hand bikes on a global scale for several years now; so as we move into the future we will collectively continue to lead through innovation and clinical focus, developing equipment that empowers people with additional needs to live life to their fullest potential”.
