Over the years the club has a proud tradition of supporting various nominated charities through fundraising activities be that via quiz’s, raffles or sportives. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic however, this has not happened in the last couple of years.
This year that has changed and at the AGM it was agreed that we should once again nominate a charity of the year to be the beneficiary of club charitable activities.
A shortlist was drawn up and circulated to the members for a vote. It was a close affair and any one of the charities listed would have been a worthy winner of the vote. Ultimately however, it was the NI Air Ambulance that came out on top.
A big thank you to all that took the time to vote.
We are also pleased to say as a club we have already raised £500 from a raffle that was held at the recent quiz night. The committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that kindly donated prizes for the event. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
Finally, if you have any ideas for a fundraising activity please do not hesitate to bring it to the Club Committees attention.
