Although a relatively new member to club the Trevor is well known by many, courtesy of his previous role in Cornerstone Cycling Club. He was a central figure at the club and apart from regularly participating in events he also unselfishly helped when it came to running events. This has carried on into Banbridge Cycling Club.
Time Trailing Since: Trevor (or TJ as he is known) has been Time Trialling for 15 years
Tell us about your TT rig setup! What ya riding?
Trevor has switched bikes this year to a Canyon CSFLX (and very nice it is too!).
What is your helmet of choice? Have you splashed out (or would you) on one of the new space age aero concepts that are starting to appear on the scene?
Currently wearing a Kask Mistral. No word from Trevor on the new space age helmets but he has been known to tinker with different aero headgear in the quest for marginal gains – so I wouldn’t rule out him being the first to appear at an event with one.
Favourite TT Course and why?
The old Woodgreen course. Very fast course when the conditions are right. (In my world that means tailwind out, tailwind home. Not too often that happens!)
Favourite TT Distance
Another plumping for the 10 mile distance.
Personal Best Time for a 10?
22.15
Have you got any TT bling in the trophy cabinet? If so what have you got?
Skelly Cup 2022
What are your goal for the 2023 season?
To get through another season!
Do you have any speed tips you’d like to share with your fellow testers?
Head down – xxxxs out! (This is a family website TJ!).
The all-important final question. Shaved legs, Yes or No? No hesitation in his answer – NO!
As you can see Trevor had his picture taken in the surrounds of The Yard – Café Cycle Centre in Rathfriland. If you are in the area then please do call in and support them. The surroundings are nice, the coffee is good and the tray bakes can be eaten guilt free – if you cycle up Rathfriland Hill to get there!! As the name suggests they also carry out bicycle repairs, servicing and sales.
Best of luck for the coming season TJ. Can’t wait to see how you get go on your new mount.
