Burns lands another medal haul at National Championships. Christie and Osbourne line up against world class Elite Men’s field.

Banbridge CC’s Chris Burns wrapped up his National Championships campaign this evening with yet another podium result.  He secured a bronze medal in the para-cycling road time trial event hosted by Island Wheelers CC.  It follows from yet another stand out performance at the weekend where he collected 2 Gold medals on the track in the Solo Flying 200 and Solo Kilo/500 as well as Silver in the Scratch race and Bronze in the Paracycling Road Race, which was won by World Champion Ronan Grimes.

A tally of 5 National Championship medals, including 2 Golds, in as many days.

Also in action this evening at the National Road Time Trial Championships were Marcus Christie and Luke Osborne in et Elite Men’s category.  Marcus finished in 5th place with Luke in 8th among the very best Irish cycling has to offer.  The event was won by World Tour professional Ryan Mullan of Bora Hansgrohe from Ben Healy of EF Education-EasyPost.
