Over the years the club has a proud tradition of supporting various nominated charities through fundraising activities be that via quiz’s, raffles or charity rides.   In 2023 the club was delighted to support the NI Air Ambulance.

For the year ahead in 2024, and at a recent club meeting, a shortlist of nominated charities was agreed and circulated among club members to vote.

Any one of the shortlisted charities would have been a worthy winner of the vote. With all votes tallied the charity with the most membership votes is the Motor Neurone Disease Association Northern Ireland.

A big thank you to all that took the time to vote.

The Northern Ireland Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association aims to provide the best possible support to local people with MND, their families and carers. MND is the name given to a group of related diseases affecting the motor neurones in the brain and spinal cord. It affects people in different ways so no two people will have exactly the same symptoms or experience of MND. MND affects not only the person with the disease, but also those close to them.

We are also pleased to kick off our fundraising activities straight away, with  a charity raffle being held this evening, Friday 26th Jan, which includes some fantastic and very generous prizes from great local companies. The committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that kindly donated prizes for the event.  Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Finally, if you have any ideas for a fundraising activity please do not hesitate to bring it to the Club Committee’s attention.
