On Sunday 8th September Banbridge CC will once again promote the popular Thomas White Memorial Time Trial, incorporating the Cycling Ireland Paracycling National Series. We also once again welcome Leckey, and their parent company Sunrise Medical, aboard as the event sponsor.
Leckey, a local Lisburn-based company is a globally recognised pioneer in the research, design and manufacture of solutions to deliver postural care for children with special needs. Together with their parent company, Sunrise Medical, which has “Team Sunrise” – the largest and most renowned athlete ambassadors in the assistive mobility industry, there are already strong links to the para-cycling community. This sponsorship further demonstrates their commitment to improving people’s lives and contribution to the communities.
On announcement of the 2024 event, General Manager of Leckey, Firefly and Sunrise Medical UK Operations, Erwin McKee, says;

Location: Newry Rd, Warrenpoint
Parking is available at Wood Innovations on the Newry Road Warrenpoint and Warrenpoint town itself. Please refrain from parking in the fuel station beside Wood Innovations.
Please also take heed of traffic which may be entering and/or exiting the Warrenpoint Fuel Station. Riders are asked to be at the start line 5 minutes in advance of their start time and make themselves known to the race officials at the start area.
The fist rider will start at 11:01 am, 2nd rider 11:02, etc.
A full start list, with starting times, will be published following the closure of the online registration on Thursday 5th September.

Course
Due to the construction works associated with the new Narrow Water bridge there are some associated road restrictions in place. This means that whilst the course will remain largely the same as in previous years, the start has been moved to just beyond the main roundabout at the start of the dual carriageway travelling from Warrenpoint to Newry. From here travel on the dual carriageway to the main Greenbank roundabout on the outskirts of Newry before returning on the opposite side of the dual carriageway. Continue straight through the main roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway towards the finish which is approximately 750 metres away. This will be marked with a chequered flag. Riders should ensure they are familiar with the start and finish locations – these will be well marked out.
