Mick Larkin has taken his 3rd victory of the club racing season at the 25 mile handicapped TT Quinn Cup. It follows Mick’s wins at both the Weir Cup and the Heathwood Cup and gives him a commanding lead in the club league after 5 rounds. A much improved athlete for 2025 Mick has won every handicap tie trial event so far this year – maintaining such a run will be extremely difficult as the factored handicaps start to take effect.
The Quinn Cup was held on the traditional Castlewellan Road course, giving the riders a challenging rolling course for the 25 miles. Fastest rider on the night was visiting junior Adam Ward of VC Glendale with a blistering time of 53 minutes, 29 seconds. The only other rider to break under the hour was Banbridge CC’s Craig Harrison with a time of 59 minutes, 7 seconds. A full set of times from the Quinn Cup can be found here.
Next weeks event is the Banbridge Inter-Club Race League 2-Up TT in Loughbrickland. Entry is now open, here.
